What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage, work in comparable ways. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you ask for can be used without consent. All other cookies need your consent first. This is required in the EU by the ePrivacy Directive, in the UK by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and reflects the consent principles of Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.

Before you make a choice, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode: it sets no cookies and receives only limited, cookieless signals. If you refuse statistics cookies, it stays in that mode.
Security check on our forms
When you use a form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that it is being sent by a person rather than a bot. It does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare processes technical data from your browser for this check only.
Website administrators
WordPress and our security plugin set further cookies only when a member of our team signs in to manage the website. They are never set for visitors.
Consent and your choices
- When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept statistics cookies. Accepting and refusing are equally easy, and no optional cookie is set until you choose.
- You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop setting statistics cookies and remove existing ones where technically possible.
- We treat Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals as a refusal of statistics cookies.
- We keep your choice for 12 months, and ask again sooner if the cookies we use change.
